Rachel Redfearn

Rachel Redfearn graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2013 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design. In 2015, she became an NCIDQ certified interior designer. Rachel’s inspiration for becoming an interior designer was her discovery that the profession is a balance of aesthetic details and problem-solving skills – a combination that suits her well.

Rachel worked for four years in the Boston area, with a focus on corporate interior renovations for technology companies. The bird song of nature called her to move to Portland in 2017.

Rachel enjoys guiding clients from schematic concepts through construction, keeping in mind the client’s goals and budget along the way. Though the journey is invaluable, the true reward of the project for her is seeing the excited reactions from the client and users of the space upon completion. “During the design process I put myself in the clients’ shoes and work to understand how their business, home, or space will need to flow. I love to study the function of the space and then dive into how to support that with aesthetics. The goal in my design work is that it will have a positive impact on the users’ lives and daily interactions.”

When not working on interiors, Rachel spends her time in exteriors (nature, that is). She is outdoors in any and all seasons: hiking, camping, skiing, or just beaching it. Rachel also attempts a yearly challenge – whether that be a triathlon or half-marathon.
